The Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD) is a well-known government organization that works for improving villages and rural life. It started in 1959 and has created successful models like the famous “Comilla Model.” But over the years, BARD faced challenges in handling its daily work. Many departments were working separately, using paper files and manual processes.
To solve this, Inflack built a full ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system that connected all departments under one digital system. With 13 modules, this system helps BARD work faster, smarter, and more securely.
Client / Project Context
BARD works under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. It has 365+ staff working in nine departments. All the departments had their own ways of doing work. Things like training management, HR, finance, or file sharing were all handled separately, mostly using paper.
Inflack worked closely with BARD to build a software system that would bring everything together in one place. This helps staff save time, reduce paperwork, and work better as a team.
Challenges
Before the new ERP system, BARD was facing some key problems:
- Departments were not connected – Each team was working alone, and it was hard to share updates or information.
- Too much paper-based work – Files had to move by hand, and approvals took time.
- No real-time data – Leaders could not easily see how things were going across departments.
- Hard to manage transport – No system for tracking official vehicles, fuel use, or schedules.
- Low digital security – Sensitive data and files were not well protected.
Our Solution
Inflack built a customized ERP system just for BARD. We used secure, modern technologies like Laravel (PHP), JavaScript, MySQL, and NoSQL databases. The system runs on Google Cloud Platform, with added security tools like Cloudflare, TLS encryption, and end-to-end encryption to protect user data.
Key Features Included:
- HR & Payroll – To manage staff records, attendance, leave, and salaries.
- Finance & Budget – To track spending and budgets for each department.
- Training Management – For planning and managing all training programs.
- Inventory & Asset – To handle office supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Vehicle Management – To track BARD’s vehicles, fuel, trips, and maintenance.
- Project Management – To follow progress of rural development projects.
- File & Communication – Digital system for sending files and official letters.
- Library & Publications – To manage books, research papers, and learning materials.
Each staff member has their own account, and the system shows only the parts they are allowed to use. It’s easy, secure, and accessible from anywhere with internet.
Results
The new ERP system made a big difference for BARD:

- All Departments Connected – Teams now share updates and work together in real-time.
- Better Planning – Managers and directors can see reports, expenses, and progress anytime.
- Safe and Secure – Data is protected using strong security tools.
- Happy Users – Staff find the system simple and useful. It saves time and avoids confusion.
